NOTICE OF ADVISORY REFERENDUM FOR GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 6, 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, WI on November 6, 2018 the following referendum will be submitted to a vote of the people:
RESOLUTION NO. _2 07-11-2018
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF AN ADVISORY REFERENDUM ON THE NOVEMBER 6, 2018 GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT RELATING TO OPENING TOWN ROADS FOR ATV/UTV ROUTES.
WHEREAS, the Town Board has received significant input from members of the public relating to wanting Excelsior town roads to be ATV/UTV routes.
WHEREAS, the Town Board feels the decision to allow ATV/UTV Routes on all town roads should be made by the residents of the Town of Excelsior.
WHEREAS, the Town Board has voted to hold an advisory referendum to allow the residents of the Town of Excelsior to decide if all town roads should be designated as ATV/UTV routes.
NOW THEREFORE, the Town Board of the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve that the following question shall be included on the November 6, 2018 general election ballot as an advisory referendum:
“Should the Excelsior Town Board pass an ordinance designating all town roads in the Town of Excelsior as ATV/UTV Routes?”
A “yes” vote will indicate the elector approves of adopting an ordinance designating all town roads as ATV/UTV Routes. A “no” vote will indicate the elector does not approve of adopting an ordinance designating all town roads as ATV/UTV Routes.
Introduced and adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin this 11 th day of July 2018.
The question will appear on the ballot as follows:
“Should the Excelsior Town Board pass an ordinance designating all town roads in the Town of Excelsior as ATV/UTV Routes?”
EXPLANATION:
A “yes” vote will indicate the elector approves of adopting an ordinance designating all town roads as ATV/UTV Routes.
A “no” vote will indicate the elector does not approve of adopting an ordinance designating all town roads as ATV/UTV Routes.
